High Coniscliffe CE

In Explorers class (Reception and Year One), the curriculum is very much developed and enhanced around our children’s interests, the world around us and awe and wonder!

The recent snowfall was a prime example of how so much learning, joy and high levels of engagement can arise when children are engrossed in their learning.

They absolutely loved exploring in the freshly fallen snow, working together to build giant snowballs, pulling each other on the sledge and exploring texture and taste!

They were all well wrapped up and even enjoyed listening to some favourite Christmas songs, enjoying a warm hot chocolate afterwards.

So much joy in the simplest of things.

“There is joy and wonder everywhere when you see the world through the eyes of a child.”
