Welcome to our Melrose Learning Trust website. We hope this website helps you understand more about our vision and the principles behind the partnerships we have. As a Trust, we are committed to providing all our pupils with opportunities to allow them to achieve highly, be confident and engage in a wide range of enrichment experiences.
Hopefully, our website will allow you to learn more about what our trust is achieving through collaboration across all of our schools and what our trust could offer your school whether you are already part of an academy trust or not.
We are a growing trust of Church of England and non-Church of England schools in the Northeast. Our central offices are located in Durham; however, our 9 schools cover a wide geographical area across Darlington, Stockton, Hartlepool and County Durham.
Our Trust vision is 'growing together in life in all its fullness', and this drives the work we do to allow our schools, pupils and staff to flourish through the opportunities we provide. We are committed to providing children with high achievement, confidence and enrichment, which is developed through excellent teaching, stimulating curriculums and strong moral values.
A WARM WELCOME TO ABBEY INFANT AND JUNIOR SCHOOLS WHO JOINED THE TRUST ON 1ST FEBRUARY 2024.
For schools joining our Trust, we have a comprehensive offer of services including support for: Leadership (including governance); School Effectiveness and Curriculum; Finance; HR; Mental Health and Wellbeing; and Sport and Wider Curriculum.
We are also able to offer support to schools external to our Trust, including CPD and governance support. To find out more about our offer, please download our brochure below or get in touch.
We have developed a high-quality annual Trust CPD programme, which draws on the expertise within our trust as well as renowned local and national experts in their fields. Our training offer covers a wide range of areas including curriculum, mental health and wellbeing, health and safety, finance and governance.
For schools within the trust, our training programme is included as part of our offer but, subject to availability, our CPD programme can accessed by schools external to the trust. Please view our training programme brochure below or contact us to find out more.

As a growing trust, we would be open to a discussion with any school or schools interested in joining Melrose Learning Trust.
We believe we have a great deal to offer schools who would like to share in a successful, supportive and collaborative educational organisation.
