Esh C of E held a bedtime story event on Thursday 3 rd March to celebrate World Book Day. All the children were invited back to school on the evening wearing their pyjamas and bringing along their favourite cuddly toy. Parents enjoyed some refreshments in the school hall, and children listened to a range of stories including Roald Dahl, picture books and myths and legends. We also held a ‘Big Book Swap’ where children were able to bring a book and exchange it for a new one! As usual, children and staff also enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters.
As a growing trust, we would be open to a discussion with any school or schools interested in joining Melrose Learning Trust.
We believe we have a great deal to offer schools who would like to share in a successful, supportive and collaborative educational organisation.
