Esh CE- Kingswood Residential
Pupils at Esh CE Primary School had a brilliant time on their recent residential to Kingswood. They enjoyed numerous activities from archery to fire lighting and even abseiling. Throughout the residential, the children represented Esh brilliantly and showed real resilience and determination.

High Coniscliffe CE Primary School recently celebrated Harvest Festival with a special service at St Edwin’s church for pupils and families. The service was led by the children and included Bible readings and Harvest songs. Pupils had also organised a harvest collection and all donations received were donated to Kind’s Foodbank.

Pupils at Wynyard CE Primary School have recently been learning more about their courageous advocate, Greta Thunberg, and her work to positively impact the environment. As a result, they were inspired to plant flowers to attract bees. As part of STEM challenge to keep the birds away from their plants, they designed and made scarecrows.

Get in touchEsh C of E held a bedtime story event on Thursday 3 rd March to celebrate World Book Day. All the children were invited back to school on the evening wearing their pyjamas and bringing along their favourite cuddly toy. Parents enjoyed some refreshments in the school hall, and children listened to a range of stories including Roald Dahl, picture books and myths and legends. We also held a ‘Big Book Swap’ where children were able to bring a book and exchange it for a new one! As usual, children and staff also enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters.

Get in touchOn Friday 18 th March, our school council organised an appeal for Ukraine and invited children to come to school dressed in blue and yellow in support of the people of Ukraine. We were incredibly overwhelmed by the amount of donations we received from families in school and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their donations! The vital supplies have now been sent to a local charity who will transport them to Ukraine.
